HHS Band Finishes Successful Season

HHS Marching BandThe Hamilton High School Marching Band capped off a very successful season by earning a rating of II in the Bands of America (BOA) Grand National Championships held at Lucas Oil Stadium on November 1. Ninety-one bands from across the United States competed, with the Grand Champion coming from Vandegrift HS, TX.  The HHS Marching Band  has competed in this event  since 2013. This year marked the groups "personal best" score. 


Earlier successes of this year's HHS Marching Band include earning Superior (I) Ratings at every Ohio Music Educators Association (OMEA) sponsored contest, including OMEA State Finals for the first time in Hamilton High School history. 

The marching band boasts 140 students in grades 8-12 from Garfield, Wilson, Hamilton High Freshman Campus, and Hamilton High Main Campus.  It is under the direction of Mr. Paul Dixon, Mr. Patrick Naylor, and Mr. Jacob Gibson, Mr. Robert Saurber, and Mr. Nicholas Corey.
