The Big Blue Swim and Dive team competed in the Sectional Swim Meet this past weekend. On Friday night boys competed at St. Xavier High School at Keating Natatorium. Several Big Blue swimmers lowered their times at the sectional meet. The 200y Freestyle Relay team of Elijah Lay, Jack Yingling, Aiden Bell, Connor Hendricks qualified for the Boys D1 District meet this Saturday at Miami. 

The Girls took to the pool on Saturday at the Powel Crosley Sectional site:

200y Medley Relay - Hannah Robinson, Hazel Culver, Makayla Platt, Crystal Lawrence record breakers. A new time of 2:02.53 breaking a 42 year old record. 

400y Freestyle Relay - Hazel Culver, Sophia Mignery, Crystal Lawrence, Hannah Robinson record breakers. The new time of 4:01.22 breaking a 41 year old school record. They are automatically qualified for Districts by winning the event.

200y Individual Medley - Hazel Culver. Broke a 20 year old school record with a new time of 2:22.96 and qualified for Districts. 

100y Breaststroke - Hazel Culver. Broke her own school record with a new time of 1:11.02. She won the event which automatically qualified her for Districts. 

The teams return to action this Saturday, February 18 at Miami University. Boys meet starts at 10:45 and the Girls meet at 5:45.
