The Hamilton City School District Communications Office shares stories and events in our school district and its 17 neighborhoods. We serve as the communications hub between the schools and parents through the district website, social media, print publications, and SchoolMessenger. We are committed to building and maintaining meaningful relationships with community members, leaders, and organizations in our efforts to serve our students and their families.

School Messenger Quick Tip Form and Safer Ohio School Tip Line

Hamilton City Schools partners with SchoolMessenger and SaferSchools Ohio to provide our families with reporting tools for keeping our students safe.

Reports made through SchoolMessenger's Quick Tip Form (embedded below) are reported directly to your child's school principal and appropriate district personnel. Parents can also contact their child's building adimistrator directly during business hours by call the school's main phone line or emailing the building principal. Incidents reported to the Safer Ohio School Tipline is sent directly to the Ohio Department of Homeland Security and shared with the appropriate school district officials.

To report an incident (bullying, harassment, concern, etc.) please complete the form below. Your incident will be reported to the appropriate building and district personnel.

Safer Ohio School Tip Line

Please use this to report suspicious activity. All activity reported here is sent directly to the Ohio Department of Homeland Security.

Report a tip by filling out the online form, by calling 1-877-OHS-INTEL (1-877-647-4683), or through the Safer Ohio App.

The Safer Ohio app allows citizens to report suspicious behavior or incidents and allows motorists to send a text for a response by a State Trooper for non-emergency situations such as a disabled vehicle or non-injury crash.

Social Media

Hamilton City Schools posts announcements, reminders, and stories for students, families, and community members on our Facebook and Twitter pages. Additionally, we partner with TV Hamilton to post video stories on the TV Hamilton YouTube Channel.

Closures and Delays

The Hamilton City School District strives to make announcements regarding school schedules by 5:30 am. When inclement weather is in the local weather forecast, the district accesses the situation and will determine whether to run school as scheduled, delay school, or close for the day. No announcement means "school is open and on time."

In the event of a delay or closure, an automated phone message will be sent out to families from our SchoolMessenger System. Delay or closing information will also be posted on the district's Facebook and Twitter pages, on our website (HamiltonCitySchools.com), and on local radio and television stations.

TV Hamilton and Hamilton Chamber of Commerce Partnership

The Hamilton City School District partners with TV Hamilton and the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce to create videos and news stories highlighting the great work happening in the district every day. These stories are shared through the district's social media pages and website and local media outlets in the region to promote the school district and our community. TVHamilton also records and streams Hamilton City School's Board Meeting Open Sessions on the TVHamilton YouTube Channel and archives them under the Hamilton City School District Board Meeting Playlist.
