With Spring time in the air, kindergarten teachers Mrs. Johnson & Ms. LeMieux took the opportunity to teach the life cycle of a plant and incorporate our hands on science experiment. We plan to observe and watch the life cycle first hand.

Mark your calendars - HCSD's Spring Break starts on April 1 and ends on April 9, 2023. School resumes on April 10, 2023.

5th graders in Mrs. Rozumovich's room worked with cubes to continue to work on volume. The Viewboard was used to help reinforce coordinate grid skills. These students worked hard and collaborated to grow in their skills! Way to #BeBrookwood!

Mrs. Johnson’s and Ms. LeMieux’s students are focusing on sentence structure. As we are making connections this week with our “Tacky” themed books we took the time to do a quick fun directed drawing to match their sentences. So proud of them for incorporating a capital letter, spaces, heart word recognition, phonetically sounding out unknown words and correct punctuation.

Our Brookwood PTO Dine to Donate is this Wednesday, February 8th at Wings on Brookwood! 10% of all sales will go back to supporting our students and school events!

Our Brookwood Bluejays were so excited to get to meet author Jarrettt Lerner today! It was an amazing collaboration of creativity! Our students were so excited to learn more about the creative process in character creation and weaving a story around them. Thanks Jarrett!

Students today showed their compassion by creating cards, wearing hats and sending messages of support for a fellow student battling a brain tumor. We are so proud of the support our Bluejays have shown to Rydder! Way to #BeBrookwood!

Mrs. Brosius had a Happy Heart Celebration for her class because she has a happy heart!  Our MAP growth for reading and math was OUTSTANDING!!!!!  We can not wait to see how much taller our learning towers grow this year.
