Garfield Bench Project
Miss Frey's 8th grade Art students created designs for a legacy bench left behind for this years graduating class of 2008. Over 300 + entries were submitted by students at Garfield. Brittany Jones, an 8th grade art student, was chosen as a finalist and winner after several weeks of voting by the staff and faculty at Garfield.
The bench was built by The Ohio Valley Woodturners Guild for our students to design and paint. Through the donations of faculty and tri-garfield we were able to make this project happen. With the help of many 8th grade students Brittany was able to create a bench that symbolized our school mascot and her own creative vision.
Congratulations to Brittany and the whole 8th grade class. Goodluck in the future :) smiles....Miss Frey
