Weekly Events

Frozen Go-Gurt yogurt sales are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The yogurt costs .50 cents. Each grade level is assigned a certain month and receives all profits from the sales. The teachers take care of the purchase and sale of the go-gurt. Teachers will notify the students when they are ready to begin the go-gurt sales.


Popcorn Sales are held every Friday beginning September 7th. Each grade level is assigned a month. The PTO purchases the popcorn supplies and volunteers from the grade level of the month pop the popcorn. All profits for the sale go to that particular grade level. Popcorn is 25 cents. . The teachers for each grade are responsible for signing up adult volunteers to pop popcorn. If you would like to volunteer to help pop popcorn, please contact your childs teacher.

Yearly Events

Membership Drive takes place during the first few weeks of school. The membership costs $5.00. When you join the PTO, you receive the right to vote on how the PTO money is spent. You also receive a membership card for the family, which gets you a free kid’s meal with the purchase of an adult entrée at Texas Roadhouse throughout the school year. You will also receive a PTO Membership Directory and the students will receive a gift certificate to the school store. You may join the PTO at any time during the year.


Santa Shop occurs in December and gives the students a chance to shop for lots of special treats for their families. The PTO purchases the products and then sells the items to the student body. Prices tend to range from .25 cents to $2.00. Kristie Martin and Stacey Race are our Santa Shop Coordinators and they have purchased lots of wonderful gifts for this year’s Santa Shop. Volunteers are needed to help sell and wrap the packages for the children. More information will be sent home as the event draws closer.


Father/Daughter Dance—On February 9th we will be holding our third annual Father/Daughter Dance. MaryBeth Stauble is the chairperson for this event. More information will be sent home about this event in January. Volunteers are needed.


Carnival happens on the last Friday of April. This year’s event is scheduled for April 25th. . More information will be sent home as the event draws closer. Volunteers are needed.


Mother/Son Tournament—We will be holding our third annual Mother/Son Tournament on Thursday, May 15, 2008. MaryBeth Stauble and Katrina Hyde are the coordinators for this event. Volunteers are needed.

Monthly Events

PTO Meetings are normally held on the first Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Primary Computer lab. During the meetings we discuss the events of the month, hear requests for purchases, talk about upcoming events and listen to any concerns/comments parents or teachers might have. The January 2008 meeting will be held on the second Thursday of the month, January 10th.


Market Day is a year round fundraiser. Order forms are sent out monthly and then orders are picked up in the Fillmore’s cafeteria on the third Tuesday of each month. Volunteers are needed to unpack the truck and gather orders. Mrs. Bachman and Jill Birmingham have graciously volunteered to be the Market Day coordinators. They are looking for volunteers to help out. If you can help please let us know! All proceeds from Market Day Sales will go toward the Fillmore Library.


Papa John’s Night at Fillmore is the first Wednesday of each month. When you order your pizza, please remember to state you are from Fillmore Elementary School. The PTO receives 15% back on each order Papa John’s # 887-6600.


AppleBees

NEW** Applebees Night is the second Friday of each month. When you place your order, please remember to state you are from Fillmore Elementary School. The PTO will receive 10% back on each order! Applebees is located at 700 NW Washington Blvd, Hamilton.

Texas Roadhouse Nights are the first Monday of each month (beginning in October). Remember to show your PTO membership card and you will receive a free kid’s meal. Texas Roadhouse is located at 1366 Main Street. Fillmore receives 10% of the nightly profits from the Fillmore patrons on the first Monday of the month.


Skating Parties are held on the third Tuesdays of each month at Round up roller rink, which is located at 1391 Main St, Hamilton, OH . The cost is $4.00 per participant and this includes skates. Please note that you are not to leave your child unattended. If you cannot remain at the rink, you must find an adult who will agree to watch your child. If you have any questions about the skating parties, please call Round up at (513)867-1475.
