Cleveland Celebrates international Peace Day

Be The Change

Cleveland Elementary celebrated International Peace Day. The students learned about this United Nations Ceasefire Day which is recognized each year on September 21st. This "Peace Rocks" assembly introduced the schoolwide Character Education program with the theme of "Be the Change You Want to See in the World". Students painted rocks in art class with symbols of peace as a reminder to strive to resolve conflicts peacefully. The students sang "The Cleveland Pledge" song which was co-written by two Cleveland teachers. The Cleveland Students are collecting "change" for Hurricane Relief to help those suffering from hurricane damage.
