4th graders in Tipton and Mills homerooms have been working in small groups to practice summarizing texts, as well as learning how to use context clues to determine the meaning of new words. To honor those who fought for our freedom, students wrote letters of thanks to veterans and learned about the Missing Man Table, a tradition used to remember men and women in the military who were POW or MIA. Both classes have been writing memoirs about something that has happened in their lives, and some students have been reading books and learning new words with buddies in Mrs. Reddin's homeroom. We've had a great school year so far!
