| Advanced Placement (AP) and Honor Classes |
|

The Hamilton City School District is proud it offers many Advanced Placement and Honors programs at Hamilton High School and Hamilton Freshman School. They are available in a variety of subjects. AP classes are designed for students who wish to take college-level courses while applying the credits toward graduation. Students enrolled in AP classes have the option to take national tests that may allow college credit. Due to the advanced nature of the classes, AP students receive weighted grades.

In addition to providing these general activities, the district acts as fiscal agent for State funds distributed to non-public schools located within the district boundaries. The non-public schools served are:
• St. Anns
• St. Peter-in-Chains
• St. Joseph
• Immanuel Lutheran
• St. Julie Billiart
• Stephen T. Badin High School
• Community Christian
While these organizations share operational and service similarities with the district, all are separate and distinct entities.
The district serves an area of 19.85 square miles. Approximately 98% of the area is in the City of Hamilton. The balance of the district is located in the southern portion of Hanover Township on the Northwest corner of the district. The entire district is located in Butler County, and its boundaries generally correspond with the City of Hamilton. |
