Hamilton City Schools provides a menu of gifted services. Programming options are designed to challenge students academically in both elementary and secondary grades. The variety of choices capitalizes on student interests, motivation and success.
Program Expectations:
• Increase their knowledge in a variety of subject areas.
• Participate in activities selected to facilitate and integrate the cognitive, emotional, and social development of the individual.
• Develop their thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrate responsibility for their own learning in and out of the school setting.
• Develop the skills appropriate to interact effectively with others.
• Comprehend their own giftedness in relationship to self and society.
• Develop more positive self-concepts.
• Ultimately become responsible, creative, independent learners.

The University of Cincinnati announces its Summer Honors Institute for Gifted Students for 9th and 10th graders. Students engage and interact in classes and field trips, live in a residence hall on campus, and meet gifted peers from all over the state.
